Do you know where the phrase “Bristols” comes from? As in, “she’s got a great pair of Bristols”. It’s a shortening of “Bristol Cities”, rhyming slang for “titties”. What does this have to do with Bristol as a Stag destination? Not much – but it’ll give you something to talk about if you decide to go!
Anyway, back to the main reason you’re here. Bristol is England’s sixth most populous city with a large student, arts and media community (and Vicky Pollard – “No, but, yeah, but, no, but…”). As a result the nightlife is pumping and the city is packed with stylish bars, clubs and restaurants. With boats and water everywhere, waterside eating and drinking is easy to find making this a great place to be on sunny summer evenings.
The countryside is never far away in Bristol and there’s a huge range of brilliant daytime activities to choose from including archery, abseiling, clay pigeon shooting etc etc.
Like many large cities, Bristol can be a little rough around the edges but it is one of the best Stag weekend destinations in the UK. So get yourselves Shipshape and Bristol Fashion for a cracking Stag weekend.
