Chester was founded by the Romans and is encircled by a two-mile ring of medieval and Roman walls – unique in the UK. This is the place to come if you want a classy and picturesque backdrop to your Hen weekend. Think overhanging eaves, Tudor buildings and narrow cobbled lanes.
During the day there are plenty of activities to keep you occupied including white water rafting, gorge walking, clay pigeon shooting, quad biking etc etc. You can even hire rowing boats on the river for a more chilled out experience.
Chester may be a historic town but it’s definitely not stuck in the past and it sure likes to party. In addition to the abundant old taverns, you will also find plenty of vibrant bars and restaurants full of local talent (think Hollyoaks). There are only a handful of nightclubs that open late but more than enough for a cracking Hen weekend.
