And now for something completely different ... Wroclaw - pronounced Vrotswav - is one of the newest new boys on the Stag scene. It won't be a fresh face for long so make sure you get there before everybody else - this place is fantastic!
A troubled history saw Wroclaw passed from country to country due to various wars, invasions and treaties, before ending up in the grateful arms of Poland after the Second World War. Nowadays it is a peaceful and beautiful city perched upon the River Odra. Wroclaw is made up of a veritable maze of islands and bridges that have earned it the title of the 'Venice of Poland'. A boat trip around the river and canals is an absolute must to fully appreciate this intricate little city.
As the sun begins to set get your dancing shoes on and your best chat up lines dusted down, the nightlife in Wroclaw is nothing short of exceptional. The city is bursting at the seams with quality places to eat, drink and dance. Try kicking off in a little slice of traditional Poland called the Swidnicka Cellar, reputedly the oldest restaurant in Europe and famous for serving classic Polish dishes washed down by lashings of classic Polish beer. Later on head for the Market Square and blend in with the party-mad student crowd to take on the host of funky bars, clubs and strip joints for which Wroclaw is justifiably famous.
