For those who think a Stag weekend in Warsaw means a trip to the West Midlands check your atlas - Warsaw is the buzzing, vibrant capital of Poland and as a good a destination for a last night of freedom as you are likely to find this side of, well ... Walsall.
Forget about the drab, grey city of the bad old communist days, Warsaw is a city on the up - a glistening metropolis which attracts the beautiful people of Eastern Europe in droves to savour its history, culture, cuisine and nightlife.
There is plenty to see and do in the city during the day. Head for Warsaw Old Town, which was all but destroyed in the war but has been meticulously rebuilt and provides a wealth of beautiful streets, squares and buildings to explore. A wise purchase is the Warsaw Tourist Card, available from the tourist office, which acts as a public transport ticket as well as getting you in free to many attractions.
When it comes to nightlife Warsaw is right up there - hordes of revellers pour into the city at the weekend to enjoy the seemingly enormous array of nightclubs, strip joints, casinos, bars and beer halls that the city has to offer. Poles are friendly people and are intrigued by the Stag weekend phenomenon, so don't be afraid to let the purpose of your visit be known - it should lead to at least one free round of drinks!
