Active
  • PaintballingPaintballing
This is one of the most popular Stag activities. Make sure the Stag gets some DayGlo antlers and a big target on his back.
  • Clay pigeon shooting
Blasting things out of the sky is more fun than you think.
  • Quad bikes
These things can handle any terrain and go almost anywhere.
  • Indoor skydiving
Ever wanted to know what it's like to skydive? Well now you can try it in the safety of a vertical wind tunnel. Check out Airkix in Milton Keynes or Bodyflight in Bedford.
  • Kayaking or canoeing
Head off into the wilderness and get wet. Just remember the movie Deliverance if you're going to Wales.
  • Surfing
Ahhh yes ... sand, sea and surfing. You don't have to go abroad to find great surfing beaches. Devon and Cornwall have world class waves and there are plenty of surf schools for those who need a few lessons. If you fancy a Stag weekend further afield then Biarritz in France is the surfing capital of Europe and has some great nightlife too.
  • Go-karting
Who's the best driver? The UK is jam packed with go-kart circuits, indoor and out.
  • Beer bike
Cycle around town while sitting at a bar. Sounds impossible? Well it's not with a beer bike. These wierd contraptions have started appearing in cities like Amsterdam, Vilnius and even London. Any harm the beer is doing you is cancelled out by the exercise - now that's clever thinking (and drinking)!
  • Rally driving
Do a few power slides and learn to drive a rally car like the pros.
  • Racing school
Enjoy the thrills and spills of a racing circuit and take the chequered flag - Silverstone.
  • Tank driving
There's nothing quite like the sheer power of these vehicles. With one of these you can park wherever you like!
  • Quad biking
  • Bungee jumping
The SAS say "He who dares ...". You might say "Holy crap!".
  • White water rafting
    Better than any rollercoaster ride.
  • Golf
Throw in a few drinks at the 19th hole and on into the night and you've got a recipe for a Stag weekend.
  • Horse riding
Get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy a peaceful day out with the sights and sounds of the countryside.
  • 4 x 4 off road driving
Learn to control a 4 wheel drive vehicle over almost impossible terrain.
  • Rock climbing
Take a walk on the wild side and experience the exciting sport of rock climbing.

Adventurous

Extreme
    Skydiving or parachuting
  • Skydive
Throw yourselves out of a plane at 20,000 ft.
  • Zorbing (or Sphering)
What could be more fun than climbing into a giant plastic ball and being pushed down a hill. Beware, Zorbing can be cancelled if wind speeds are higher than about 15mph so make sure you have a backup plan.
  • Bobsleigh
Yes you can actually try this in Bratislava, Budapest, Prague and Riga without dying.
  • Drive a supercar
Ever wanted to get behind the wheel of a Ferrari, Dodge Viper or Lamborghini Diablo? Well now's your chance.
  • Skiing or snowboarding
Let's be honest, the après ski is just as much fun as the skiing itself.
  • Powerboating
Experience the thrilling power and manoeuvrability of a powerboat.
  • Fly a MiG jet fighter in Moscow
Take off with the afterburners blazing and climb to the edge of space. By the way, this is not cheap! FlyMiG.Com

Chilled
  • Fishing
Go fly fishing for a relaxing countryside experience. Or, for the more adventurous, how about sea fishing?
  • Day at the races
Get merry and walk away stinking rich (alternatively, with no shirt on your back).
  • Boat party
Break out the G&Ts and have a boat party.

Cheap
  • Go Ape
This may be cheap but it's one of our favourite activities at the moment. Go Ape is an award-winning high wire forest adventure course of rope bridges, Tarzan Swings and zip slides high up in the tree canopy. Try it - you'll love it! Just make sure you dress the stag up in the traditional gorilla suit.
  • Dinner and a nightclub
Inexpensive meal followed by a trip to the pub or a nightclub. It may not be that exciting but it's one of the most popular formats.
  • Comedy club
Loosen everyone up with a good laugh.
For even more ideas check out the Stag weekends section, the Stag and Hen directory or other Hen and Stag party articles. Also, don't forget to have a look at our stag night t-shirts - they're one of the best ways to break the ice and have a bit of a laugh.
