With its geographical location in the middle of the England, you could call Nottingham the epicentre of UK Stag weekends. Why has it become such a huge Stag destination? We think it could have something to do with the fact that women outnumber men by 3 to 1. Apparently, this is due to the city's industrial tradition of lace-making, tobacco production and pharmaceuticals, which mainly employ women.
Two other things put Nottingham firmly on the map of great Stag destinations - 1) a massive range of brilliant activities from archery (as you might expect from the home of Robin Hood) to Zorbing and 2) a high concentration of pubs and clubs. You can even pay a visit to England's oldest pub near Nottingham Castle - Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem. Complete with "Rock Lounge", carved into the sandstone rock beneath the castle.
But Nottingham is not just about "Olde Worlde" pubs. There are also plenty of stylish venues like Tantra with its plush décor and beds to lounge on. Not to mention some cracking clubs. Nottingham really does have everything for a Stag and his merry men.
