Manchester's a swaggering city with some serious credentials dating back to the Industrial Revolution. Not least of these is its contribution to music. It's the birthplace of a raft of big name bands like Oasis, The Stone Roses, The Smiths, The Chemical Brothers, New Order and Happy Mondays to name but a few - "You're twisting my melon man. Call the cops."
As home to the pioneering Haçienda club, Manchester's nightlife is legendary. The Hacienda is long gone now but don't worry - there are more stylish bars and clubs than you could ever squeeze into one weekend.
As you might expect in a city of 2.2 million, Manchester has plenty of activities on offer including 4x4 off-road driving, clay pigeon shooting, go karting and much more. Try and include some time exploring the city on your Stag weekend. It's full of wonderful architecture and, with shops like Selfridges and Harvey Nichols opening their doors here, it's also a great destination for shopping. All this, along with the obvious sporting attractions make this a Stag destination that's hard to beat.
