It's grim up North? We don't think so! Condé Nast Traveller magazine readers once voted Leeds the UK's favourite city pushing London into second place. So, if you're imagining flat caps and whippets, you might have to think again.
For lively Stag weekends, there are plenty of daytime activities to choose including 4x4 driving, archery, mud buggies, clay pigeon shooting etc. If you're a shopoholic then you won't be disappointed. Leeds has been described as the 'Knightsbridge of the North' by the Lonely Planet Guide and includes a huge range of shops from independent designers to large department stores like Harvey Nichols.
There is an enormous range of bars, pubs, restaurants, cafés and nightclubs in Leeds. And plenty of them have late licenses. The fact that Gatecrasher set up here is testament to the fact that this city sure does like to party.
By the way, don't embarrass yourself by asking for directions to Leeds Castle - it's in Kent!
