Krakow is one of Poland's largest and most historic cities, famed for its contribution to art, academia and vodka-fuelled nights out. Krakow is a well-known and popular destination for the thirsty Hen, mainly because it boasts over 200 bars - and that's not even including the clubs!
Although difficult to pronounce, the local food is delicious, so it's worth trying to get your head around the lingo on the menus. It's easy to get around Krakow on foot, but a horse-drawn carriage could be a more fun way to travel.
Before we get on to the nightlife, let's take a look at what you don't want to miss beforehand. Krakow's renowned for its stunning architecture, and a definite highlight is St. Mary's Church located in the Market Square (Rynek Glowny). Wawel Royal Castle is one of Krakow's most prominent landmarks and the Czartoryski Museum houses Da Vinci's 'Lady with an Ermine'.
The Pole's national drink is vodka, and we feel it's our duty to warn you just how strong the local brew is before you go and misplace a drunken bride or find a couple of the girls get arrested. Many of the bars are housed in cellars in the streets off Market Square and they're a great starting place. So, head east and enjoy a Hen weekend straight out of the top drawer in Krakow.
