Bratislava has emerged from the shadow of nearby Austria and Czech Republic as an exciting destination for adventurous Hen weekends and has recently made a name for itself as a great alternative to Prague. Bratislava sits on the river Danube and borders both Hungary and Austria.
The town centre is pedestrianised and you can walk around it in about 20 minutes. If you fancy going a bit further afield, Bratislava Castle offers some incredible views of the surrounding country. Be warned, the locals speak a mix of Slovak, Hungarian and German so expect to be using a lot of sign language!
Bratislava has a wonderfully diverse nightlife from chic bars to underground clubs and even casinos! There are several great cocktail bars close to each - very handy if you don't want to waste valuable drinking time walking between bars! In the bunker beneath Bratislava castle is the Ucko and Bratislava's coolest clubbing scene. Near the Old Town Market is Laverna on the SNP Square which is a fully air-conditioned double-level disco-bar and a great night out for your Hen party. Situated in the Old Town, Hlbocina club has two underground floors of great clubbing which is open until 6am on the weekends.
