Berlin is the capital of Germany and a huge and cosmopolitan city that will leave even the most demanding of stag parties desperate to go back for more.

There is an almost inexhaustible list of things to do in this bustling town. The city was once divided between democratic West Germany and the communist East and a visit to the remains of the Berlin Wall and Checkpoint Charlie gives you a fascinating insight into what life must have been like before unification. The awe-inspiring Brandenburg Gate is a must-see and a trip to the top of the Reichstag building will be rewarded by a stunning view over the city.

As befits such a large city the nightlife is awesome, with a veritable cornucopia of bars, nightclubs and lap dancing clubs dotted around the town. Basing yourself in one area is a good idea and Charlottenburg is recommended for its wide variety of bars and clubs. Cascade nightclub is a good place to finish the evening and should suit everyone. If you're looking for something a little off the wall then you can't go wrong with the legendary, hedonistic KitKatClub. Before you go to this club, you need to be aware of 2 things. 1) people openly have sex and 2) there is a strict dress code - fetish, latex and leather, kinky, stylish or glamourous. The less you wear, the better.

When it comes to drinking Germany is famous for brews like Becks and Löwenbräu but be sure to also try one of the wheat beers on offer - a favourite and delicious alternative to run-of-the-mill lager. Head to the LuisenBrau bar next to the Charlottenburg Palace to experience a proper German beer hall.
